DT Research’s 10.4” WebDT 312 Windows 7 tablet makes the rounds at the FCC
Tired of waiting for HP’s Slate tablet? Maybe you should take a look at the WebDT 312 tablet from DT Research.
Although the WebDT 312 lacks the svelte form factor of the Slate, the WebDT 312 packs a pretty solid feature set that includes an Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor, 1024 x 768 10.4” TFT LCD touch screen that can rotate between landscape and portrait configurations, up to 64GB of SSD storage, and a variety of OS options including Windows 7, Windows XP and Linux. The WebDT 312 weighs in at a reasonable 2.05 pounds, and measures 8.3” x 10.3” x 0.8”.
Like the Slate, the WebDT 312 appears to be destined for the enterprise market. Still, we wouldn’t mind using the WebDT 312 for consumer-oriented tablet applications.
No word on pricing or availability, but the WebDT 312 is already advertised on DT Research’s website, suggesting that we’ll see the device very soon.
