ASUS Transformer Prime back in stock at Best Buy
ASUS’ Transformer Prime Android tablet is back in stock at Best Buy. The 32GB version of the device is priced at $500 with free shipping. The Prime can only be ordered online – no in-store pickup is available. The device is expected to ship within 1 business day.

ASUS Transformer Prime back in stock at Office Depot
ASUS’ Transformer Prime Android tablet is back in stock at Office Depot for $500 plus free shipping for the 32GB version of the tablet. The Prime appeared briefly on Office Depot’s site last week, but appeared to sell out quickly. There’s no indication how many Prime units Office Depot has in stock, but we’d expect these to sell out quickly.

ASUS Transformer Prime preorders now live at GameStop, shipping on January 6th, 2012
Last week, the ASUS Transformer Prime appeared in stock at Best Buy, however the device quickly sold out and is currently listed as “Not Available.” If you weren’t able to get your order in before the device sold out, here’s some good news for you thanks to GameStop. The company now has preorders of the Transformer Prime available for $540. GameStop is charging $40 more for the Prime than most other retailers, but it does include a bunch of games with the Prime (yeah, I’m not sure if that’s worth it, either).
GameStop expects to ship the Transformer Prime on January 6th, 2012, so those of you that preorder will have a little over a week to wait. But at this time, GameStop’s preorder appears to be the quickest route to a Prime.
ASUS Transformer Prime now in stock and shipping from Best Buy
It’s a Christmas miracle! Well, almost. ASUS’ Transformer Prime Android tablet is now in stock and shipping from Best Buy’s warehouses. As you can see above, the device is expected to ship from Best Buy within a day, just barely missing Christmas. At this time, if you overnight the device you’ll likely be able to get it by Tuesday, December 27th.

Amazon ASUS Transformer Prime preorders to arrive between January 25th and February 8th, 2012
Here’s yet another update in the increasingly frustrating ASUS Transformer Prime preorder saga. I just received the email above from Amazon, which states that my Transformer Prime preorder placed on December 18th will not ship for over a month. Amazon estimates that the device will arrive between January 25th and February 8th, 2012. You can view the Transformer Prime on Amazon here, where the ship date shows a 4 to 7 week delay.
Last week, ASUS announced that it will start shipping the Transformer Prime in the United States during the week of December 19th. However, I have yet to see a retailer or etailer ship the device in any significant quantity in the US so far. In fact, the only reports of the Transformer Prime shipping in North America come from Tiger Direct Canada.
So far ASUS has not disclosed a reason for the Transformer Prime’s delay, although Engadget reports that WiFi problems may be the culprit. It’s unfortunate that ASUS has missed the Holiday Season in the United States, and it’s hard to believe that the company, which ships millions of notebooks a year, would suffer from such significant delays.

ASUS Transformer Prime shipping in 4 to 7 weeks, according to Amazon
On Monday Amazon started taking preorders for the elusive ASUS Transformer Prime, and today the company gave a bit more information on an ETA for the device…not good news. According to Amazon, the Transformer Prime is expected to ship within 4 to 7 weeks. That means the Prime may not arrive until the middle of Q1 2012 – a huge disappointment for those of us who hoped to get our hands on the Tegra 3 tablet for the holidays.
It’s unclear if the 4 to 7 week ship date applies to preorders of the Transformer Prime, or just new orders of the device. Currently, my Amazon Transformer Prime doesn’t show a ship date, but Amazon does confirm that the device will arrive after Christmas.
