Netronix, manufacturer of the PocketBook series of eBook readers, appears to be readying yet another addition to the PocketBook line. Today, the PocketBook 511 made an appearance on the FCC, winning approval for the device’s 802.11 b/g wireless capabilities.
We don’t know much about the PocketBook 511, other than the device will sport a 5” screen. We’d guess that the 511 will rely on eInk, just like the other products in Netroix’ PocketBook lineup. FCC documents also show that the device will be sold under the GreenBook brand, in addition to Netronix and PocketBook brands.
No word on pricing or a release date yet. 5” does seem to be quite small for an eBook reader, but Netroix already offers eBook readers ranging from 6” to 10”, so the 511 will fill out the company’s range of readers nicely.
