Cisco’s Linksys E4200 v2 WiFi router gets an FCC tear down
Cisco updated its Linksys E4200 router last December with the launch of the Linksys E4200 v2. The new version of the E4200 offers wireless networking speeds of up to 450Mbps in 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, as well as a 1.2GHz processor.
Thanks to recently released internal photos of the E4200 v2 we now get a look inside the router. Internal photos of the E4200 v2 show Marvell 88W8063 and 88W8366 WLAN SoCs, a Marvell 88E6171R Ethernet Switch, and Hynix SDRAM. Also visible is the E4200 v2’s 1.2GHz processor, although there is no branding on this chip to identify its manufacturer.
