Razer announced its entrance into the console market at CES this year with its Chimaera 5.1 stereo gaming headset for the Xbox 360. This wireless pair of cans sports 5.1 stereo surround sound, a noise isolating boom mic, and a rechargeable battery with an attractive charging base. The Chimaera can also be daisy chained with multiple headsets for team gaming.
We don’t have any word yet on a release date, but the device won FCC approval today which indicates that a release is near. Razer has announced that the 5.1 version of the Chimaera will cost $200, while the 2.1 version of the headset will cost $150.
