i.Tech’s MusicClip 803 is an A2DP Bluetooth headset and MP3 player in one
This tiny MP3 player/Bluetooth headset from i.Tech, called the MusicClip 803, made an appearance on the FCC today. The device seems like a slight upgrade from the MusicClip 802 that we spotted in October.
As a Bluetooth headset, the MusicClip 803 offers handy features, like support for any 3.5mm headset, an OLED display for viewing caller data, and a full host of call/music controls. Additionally, the MusicClip 803 has 2GB of internal storage, allowing the device to act as an MP3 player. An FM player is included as well.
The MusicClip 803 charges via its headphone jack, just like an iPod Shuffle. The device provides 6 hours of talk time, 10 hours of music playing time, and 120 hours of standby.
All things considered, i.Tech packed a ton of features into this 16 gram device. No word yet on pricing or availability, but i.Tech has a decent presence in the states so we should be seeing this soon.
Jaybird’s BAIP brings stereo Bluetooth to your iPod, iPhone
Jaybird manufacturers athletic audio gear, including wired and wireless headsets. Today, the company passed this tiny Bluetooth adapter for iPods and iPhones, called the BAIP, through the FCC.
The tiny device adds Bluetooth functionality to iPods or iPhones without A2DP support – a valuable feature if you’re working out and don’t want to be distracted by wires. It’s not the first device of its kind, but it is pretty compact way to bring stereo Bluetooth to your non-Bluetooth devices.
MobiSolution GBH-S300 – Bluetooth headset and MP3 player in a tiny package
The MobiSolution GPH-S300 weighs only 11.5 grams, but it packs a ton of well-designed features. The device works with any 3.5mm headset, allowing you to use your own headphones for making calls or listening to music. And, if you don’t want to lug around a separate audio player, the GPH-S300 act as a music player with microSD storage.
Interestingly, the GPH-S300 charges through its 3.5mm jack – a great feature that helps to keep the device tiny…just don’t hope to use the headset and charge it at the same time. To that end, the device offers 6 hours of talk time and 8 days of standby.
MobiSolution is at CES this weekend, so be sure to check them out of you’re in town.
Belkin’s tiny Bluetooth receiver streams music from your iPhone
This tiny Bluetooth receiver from Belkin plays audio from your iPhone or other A2DP device. Pretty simple, right?
The device, which is currently known as the F8Z492, uses an AC adapter for power, and plugs into your stereo system with a standard 3.5mm jack. Then you can just pair the device with your Bluetooth device, and you’re set.
I like the idea of walking into a room, and streaming audio from your iPhone to your stereo with the push of a button. And the F8Z492 looks small enough not to take a whole bunch of room in your AV cabinet.
