Microsoft KINECT for Xbox 360, aka Project Natal, now available for preorder, costs $150

The future or a flop, only time will tell, but you can preorder Microsoft’s KINECT motion controller for the Xbox 360 right now at the Microsoft Store.  The KINECT will cost $149.99, although Microsoft notes that “The $149.99 price represents an estimate only as the official price has not yet been announced.”  Interesting.

The KINECT is scheduled to be released on November 4th, 2010.  However, Microsoft again tempters our expectations with a cryptic note, saying “The Kinect sensor will be available on or after November 4th, 2010,” so the November 4th date doesn’t seem to be completely solid just yet.

Microsoft passed a wireless N adapter through the FCC today.  There isn’t much to see besides this label picture, but at least you Xbox 360 owners out there can look forward to wireless N networking in the near future.
