Sony’s VAIO Duo 11 convertible Windows 8 tablet arrives on the FCC

Sony unveiled their VAIO Duo 11 Windows 8 tablet late last month, and today the device made its first appearance on the FCC.  As you can see in the photos above and below, the design of the VAIO Duo 11 is quite unique – the device has a screen that slides up to reveal a keyboard, or slides down to cover the keyboard and operate as a tablet.

The VAIO Duo 11 will come with up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage and an Intel Core i7-3517U processor – not bad at all.  The device’s screen has a 1920×1080 resolution and measures 11.6” diagonally.

No word yet on pricing or a release date.
