Nokia Lumia 800 will get mobile hotspot functionality, according to FCC filings
Earlier today, Nokia’s Class II Permissive Change notice for its Lumia 800 Windows Phone won approval from the FCC. According to FCC filings, this change notice will bring mobile hotspot functionality to the Lumia 800. As you can see in the note above, wireless hotspot functionality will come via firmware update that will be delivered through the “Zune Service.”
Earlier this month, Nokia announced plans to bring mobile hotspot functionality to Lumia devices. Today’s FCC filing suggests that this functionality will be coming soon, since Nokia’s Class II Permissive Change Notice for the Lumia 800 was approved today.
