Teardown: HTC’s Titan Windows Phone gets torn down on the FCC
The FCC smartphone peep show continues today with the HTC Titan, High Tech Computer’s enormous Windows Phone. Internal photos of the Titan were made public by the FCC, nearly six months after the device first won approval for its GSM, WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities.
The Titan’s large frame allowed HTC to use two circuit boards to hold the Titan’s innards, unlike the “L” shaped boards that we’re used to. We don’t get to see the Titan’s 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, but we do see what appears to be Hynix Flash Memory and Samsung SDRAM.
