Teardown: LG Spectrum 4G for Verizon (VS920)
You know the story: Phone meets FCC. Phone wins approval. Phone gets torndown and photographed.
That’s what just happened to LG’s Spectrum, a 4G LTE Android smartphone for Verizon. FCC internal photos show a pair of Qualcomm chips – a SnapDragon processor and an LTE mobile data modem. Other chips include Hynix SDRAM and a couple of smaller Qualcomm chips. Thanks to LG’s blurry, low res photos, we don’t see much else. Actually, LG’s photography in general appears to be quite crappy. Take for example the picture above, which is focused on the reflection of the camera, rather than the phone itself.
