LG’s Connect 4G (VS840) LTE smartphone hits the FCC, headed to Verizon
LG’s Connect 4G Android smartphone made an appearance at CES earlier this month, sporting MetroPCS branding along with support for MetroPCS’ 4G LTE network. However, it appears that the Connect 4G will also be headed to Verizon, thanks to an FCC filing by LG that was published today.
In the filing the Connect 4G, referred to by its model number VS840, won approval for CDMA/EvDO bands as well as LTE band 13, which is used by Verizon in the United States. The device also got the FCC’s nod for its Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities.
The VS840 sports a 4-inch NOVA display, 5MP camera, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and Android 2.3. The device may be positioned as a smaller alternative to the LG Spectrum, which features a massive 4.5-inch display.
