Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus hits the FCC, boasts 4G LTE
We still aren’t sure when the Galaxy Nexus will launch in the United States, but at least we now know that the FCC won’t be standing in Samsung’s way. Today, the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon, aka the SCH-i515, won FCC approval, boasting support for Verizon’s CDMA/EvDO 3G network, as well as the company’s 4G LTE network. FCC filings also show approval for dual-band Wireless N WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC.
Verizon has yet to announce a launch date for the Galaxy Nexus, however leaked pictures of Galaxy Nexus accessories are a good sign that we’ll see the device soon. Leaks from Costco suggest that the Galaxy Nexus will have a price tag in the $300 range, with a two year contract.
