Toshiba’s FlashAir WiFi SD card appears on the FCC

Toshiba unveiled its FlashAir WiFi SD card at IFA this year, and last week the device made its first appearance on the FCC.  The FlashAir is similar to Eye-Fi’s WiFi-enabled SD card, which allows users to transfer pictures from their SD card to a PC over a WiFi network.  However, unlike the Eye-Fi, Toshiba’s FlashAir card can also receive files as well, allowing users to transfer cameras to the FlashAir card over WiFi.

The FlashAir is expected to launch in February 2012.  The 8GB version of the card is rumored to cost around $90.
