4G LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 coming to AT&T
AT&T has already announced plans to release the HTC Jetstream Android tablet on its brand new 4G LTE network, and it now appears that the carrier has plans for a LTE version of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 8.9 Android tablet as well. Last week, a version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 8.9, referred to as the SGH-I957, passed through the FCC sporting support for AT&T’s LTE network. Label pictures of the device also show AT&T’s 4G LTE logo.
Neither Samsung nor AT&T has release pricing or a release date for an LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1 8.9. AT&T has been aggressively announcing new LTE devices, however, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1 8.9 gets official before the holidays.
Update: It now appears that this is the Galaxy Tab 8.9, not the 10.1. Prior label pics of the Galaxy Tab 8.9 confirm this. Thanks to Android Community for pointing this out.
