Why wait for the Nintendo Wii U, when you can have an LCD screen on your controller right now.  That’s what Datel Design and Development offers with its TurboFire EVO controller for the Xbox 360.  The controller, which passed through the FCC today, features a 1.7-inch display known as the “Combat Command.”

Sure, the display doesn’t really do much – it basically just gives users a visual interface for adjusting controller settings like speed, recoil, button mapping and rapid fire.  But does that really matter when you’re the only one with an Xbox 360 controller with an LCD screen?  No.

The TurboFire EVO is available from Datel for $55.
