HTC to release Bluetooth conference speaker
HTC has been stepping up its accessory game as of late. The company recently released a lighted “charm indicator” with its Rhyme smartphone, and today the company passed a puck-shaped conference speaker through the FCC. The device is aptly named the HTC Conference Speaker, and uses Bluetooth to connect to mobile phones. The speaker has an internal rechargeable battery that will last up to 10 hours on a charge for calling, or 8 hours for music playback. The HTC Conference Speaker is clad in brushed aluminum, and appears to cater to a much more corporate crowd that the company’s Rhyme-related accessories.
A single HTC Conference Speaker only provides mono audio. However, two of the devices can be linked to provide stereo playback. The devices automatically pair with each other with the press of a button and assume left channel and right channel duties.
