HTC’s Doubleshot, aka the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, hits the FCC
While its not nearly as sleek as the HTC Sensation, the HTC Doubleshot, also known as the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, is a good option for Android users that want a QWERTY keypad. Today, the device made its way through the FCC with support for GSM 850 and 1900 bands, as well as WCDMA band IV. That means, as expected, the device is headed to T-Mobile. FCC documents refer to the Doubleshot as the PG59100, and SAR reports confirm that the device has a sliding QWERTY keypad, eliminating any question that this is the Doubleshot.
Earlier leaks confirm that the Doubleshot will feature a dual-core Qualcomm 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor with an Adreno 220 CPU, 768MB of RAM, front (VGA) and rear (8MP) cameras, and a 3.7-inch LCD display. Some reports indicate that the Doubleshot will have 1080p 3D recording capabilities, but we’d wait for official confirmation before getting excited about 1080p 3D.
No word yet on pricing or a release date. But the Doubleshot has been confirmed to launch on T-Mobile as the myTouch 4G Slide.
