More Motorola Droid X2 details emerge, launch set for May 26th

No, the Motorola Droid X2 didn’t launch today as expected.  But Droid Life was able to get their hands on some X2 spec sheets that detail many of the device’s features as well as the device’s launch date.  According to a Verizon Droid X2 “Launch Package” published by Droid Life, the device will be in Verizon stores on May 26th, with direct fulfillment orders starting on May 19th.

The Launch Package also confirms many of the X2’s specs, including a dual core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 4.3” qHD screen with a 960 x 540 resolution, 8MP rear camera with 720p video capture, and an 1540 mAh battery.  The device will also be able to output 1080p video via HDMI in “Mirror Mode,” allowing you to display the X2’s screen on your favorite HDMI display.  Pictures of the device’s screen suggest that the X2 will be running Android 2.3, however these are likely photoshopped images so this can’t be confirmed just yet.

No pricing information was listed in the Launch Package, but with the May 19th fulfillment only a week away, we should be learning more very soon.
