Best Buy announced today that it will begin taking preorders for the HTC Flyer tomorrow, April 25th.  The Flyer was first unveiled by HTC in February at Mobile World Congress.  The 7-inch tablet runs Android 2.4, with an upgrade to Android 3.0 Honeycomb expected in the near future.  The device features a single-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16 to 32GB of internal memory, front (1.3MP) and rear (5MP) cameras, WiFi and Bluetooth.  Best Buy will offer the WiFi-only version of the Flyer, while a 3G version of the device is also expected to be released soon.

The Flyer is the first tablet to feature HTC’s Scribe stylus technology.  Scribe styli are more precise than passive styli, allowing users to write small notes or make intricate drawings.

Best Buy announced that it will launch the Flyer “later this spring,” although an official launch date for the device has not yet been determined.
