iNQ’s Cloud Touch Facebook phone clears the FCC, coming to AT&T
Earlier this week, iNQ launched its Cloud Touch Android 2.2 smartphone in Europe. The device, which is commonly referred to as the Facebook Phone, features an 800MHz processor, 3.5” touch screen, 5MP camera, 512MB of internal storage, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.
Today, it appears that the Cloud Touch made an appearance on the FCC with support for GSM 850 and 1900 bands, as well as WCDMA Bands II and V. These bands correspond to AT&T’s service in the United States, suggesting that the Cloud Touch will be making its way to the US carrier.
The version of the Cloud Touch that passed through the FCC has the model number T2-218U, while the Cloud Touch that launched in Europe has the model number T2-219U. We’re quite confident that these two devices are virtually identical – it appears that the small difference in model numbers refers to the regional availability and GSM/WCDMA support of Cloud Touch devices.
There’s no word when the Cloud Touch will hit the US. If European pricing is any indication, the device will sell for about $500 off contract or $30 with a two year contract.
