ASUS’ Eee Pad Transformer TF101 tablet hits the FCC
The Apple iPad 2 may be dominating headlines today, but lets not forget ASUS’ growing lineup of tablets. Today, the company’s Android 3.0-powered Eee Pad Transformer, also known by the model number TF101, made an appearance on the FCC, winning approval for its WiFi and Bluetooth functionality.
The Transformer features a 10.1” screen, Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, front (1.2MP) and rear (5MP) cameras, 1080p video playback, HDMI out, and a battery life of up to 16 hours. Although its not visible in the label picture above, the Transformer will also come with a detachable QWERTY keypad, which, when attached, will allow the device to function somewhat like a netbook.
No word on pricing or availability, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
Update: We updated this post to correct errors in specs. Previously we had the TF101 confused with the EP121.
