Samsung Galaxy S 2 to feature 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3” display, 1080p video recording, 16GB internal memory, according to leaked docs

We’ve already seen several leaked specs for the Samsung Galaxy S 2, and today Pocketnow.com posted an internal Expansys document that purportedly gives us a pretty comprehensive preview of the phone.  According to the document, the Galaxy S 2 will feature a dual-core Qualcomm 8260 SnapDragon processor running at 1.2GHz, a 4.3” screen, an 8MP camera that records 1080p video at 30fps and 16GB of internal memory.

For the most part, these specs are consistent with other leaked specs for the Galaxy S 2.  However, the Pocketnow.com document claims that the Galaxy S 2 will feature a dual-core processor from Qualcomm, while other documents have mentioned a Samsung Orion processor running at 1.0 to 1.2GHz.  It does seem a bit unlikely that Samsung would rely on Qualcomm for its silicon – Samsung has done well with its Hummingbird processor and the company’s Orion dual-core processor looks promising.  Additionally, the processor specs for the Galaxy S 2 published by Pocketnow.com are the same as the specs for the HTC Desire HD2, making us wonder if this is a cut-and-paste job or perhaps just filler data.

Either way, the Galaxy S 2 is already scheduled to make an appearance at Mobile World Congress on February 13th, just two days away, so we won’t have to wait long to get definitive specs for the device.
