Motorola XOOM Speaker HD Dock to cost $100, other cases, docks get priced as well

The “end of February” launch timeframe for Motorola’s dual core Tegra 2-powered XOOM tablet is quickly approaching, and yet we have no definitive pricing for the device.  However, XOOM accessories have begun to pop up on the Internets, giving us a good idea of how much it will cost to accessorize our new tablet.

One of the most intriguing accessories for the XOOM is the device’s Speaker HD Dock, above right.  This dock features built in speakers, three USB ports and an HDMI out port for HD video goodness.  Mobile City Online currently lists the Speaker HD Dock available for preorder for a hefty $100.  However, Verizon typically offers some sort of discount when you buy multiple accessories at the same time, so you may want to wait until launch day before picking one of these up.

If you’re just looking for a basic charging dock, check out the Motorola Standard Dock for the XOOM.  This dock costs a more reasonable $40 from Mobile City Online, and allows you to connect your own speakers with a speaker output port.  Like the Speaker HD Dock, the Standard Dock is currently only available for preorder.

When you’re on the road, you can protect and display the XOOM with Motorola’s Portfolio Case, above left.  This case allows users to prop up the XOOM at a variety of viewing angles, or it can fold shut to protect the device during transport.  The Portfolio Case costs $40, and is available for preorder at Mobile City Online, as well.

We still have no word on a release date for these accessories, but you can sign up for alerts on Mobile City Online’s site.  We’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
