Texas Instruments brings WiFi to TI-Nspire calculators
We all remember drawing parabolas on our TI-82s, but over the past decade it appears that graphing calculator technology hasn’t gone very far. It looks like this may soon change, however, with Texas Instruments TI-Nspire CX Navigator, which passed through the FCC today.
The CX Navigator is a 802.11g WiFi adapter for TI’s TI-Nspire line of calculators. As you can see in the label pic above, the CX Navigator appears to connect to the bottom of a TI-Nspire to bring WiFi to the device. We’re not sure what you can actually do with WiFi access on the TI-Nspire – browsing the web on a graphing calculator seems a bit difficult – but it would be great if you could upload and download data from your TI-Nspire wirelessly.
No word on pricing or availability yet, but today’s FCC filing by TI suggests that we’ll be seeing the CX Navigator soon.
