CLAMCASE Bluetooth keyboard case for the iPad wins FCC approval, shipping soon

We’ve been eagerly anticipating the Clamcase Bluetooth keyboard for the iPad since the device was unveiled many months ago.  Today, the Clamcase won FCC approval for its use of Bluetooth, suggesting that the device will indeed ship by its planned January 2011 release date.

The Clamcase is an innovate case that combines a laptop-like body with a Bluetooth keyboard.  Your iPad snaps easily into the Clamcase’s shell, allowing you to use the iPad as a notebook.  When you don’t want to use the keyboard, you can flip iPad over the keyboard, turning the case back into a svelte tablet.

You can pickup a Clamcase here for $119 once the device officially goes on sale.
