Vodafone’s 7” 3G tablet/phone hits the FCC

It looks like a new tablet is coming to Vodafone, thanks to an FCC filing by Huawei.  The device, known as the EC W820, features a 7” LCD touch screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, a 2MP camera, a 1GB hard drive, and SD support up to 16GB.  According to FCC documents, the EC W820 supports GSM 850, 1900 and WCDMA Bands II and V.

The EC W820 relies on what appears to be a proprietary OS that controls phone, email, Internet, multimedia viewing and news feed functions – an interesting choice considering Huawei’s recent efforts with Android.
