Archos’ 70b Android-powered eBook Reader hits the FCC
With just a couple more weeks to go before the holidays, it looks like French consumer electronics manufacturer Archos will be making an entrance into the already-crowded eBook reader market. The company’s Android-powered Archos 70b eBook reader, pictured above, made its way through the FCC today, complete with external and internal pictures, as well as a user manual.
The 70b doesn’t offer anything especially revolutionary – the device features a 7” color LCD screen, SD card slot, WiFi physical page back/forward buttons and Archos’ eBook library interface. The 70b will support Adobe Digital Editions eBook DRM platform, which is used by Google’s eBook store, among others.
