iRiver’s Cover Story eBook reader hits the FCC
Are you ready for yet another player in the eBook reader market? iRiver’s Cover Story eBook reader made its way through the FCC today – a good indication that the device will be making its way to the United States.
The Cover Story sports a 6” resistive touch screen eInk display. The device also hides a stylus that can be used for drawing or note taking.
Under the hood, the Cover Story features 2GB of internal memory, upgradeable to 32GB with a SD card. The device relies on a Samsung ARM11 S3C6431 processor, and runs a Linux-based OS with the company’s iRiver Flow UI.
We don’t have any word on when the Cover Story will be released in the US, but the device is already available in Europe. Two versions of the Cover Story are available – a WiFi version for £179, and a basic version for £149.
