Belkin’s AirCast Auto adapter brings Bluetooth connectivity to your car
Here’s an interesting idea from Belkin. The company’s AirCast Auto adapter, which passed through the FCC today, is part Easy Button, part Bluetooth. The device, which is powered by your car’s cigarette lighter, features a large button and a Bluetooth adapter, as well as a 3.5mm audio cable that connects to your car’s stereo.
Once you pair your phone with the AirCast Auto, you just push the device’s large button to answer calls or play music. The button flashes blue when incoming calls are detected, and it has an adhesive backing for easy installation.
We like the idea of a Bluetooth adapter that’s designed for cars. Also, since many cars now feature a 3.5mm audio input, the AirCast can be easily connected without having to run wire to your receiver.
