Netronix’s PocketBook 602eBook reader appears on the FCC

Netronix unveiled several eBook readers at Computex this year, including the PocketBook 602, pictured above.  Today, the PocketBook 602 made an appearance on the FCC, suggesting that the device may be making its way to the United States.

The PocketBook 602 features a 6” eInk screen, Freescale ARM11 532MHz processor, and optional Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G/3.5G wireless data.  The device supports PDF, ePub, FB2, HTML, TXT, PRC, MOBI, RTF, DOC, JPG and MP3 formats and runs on a custom Linux OS.

Overall, the PocketBook 602 doesn’t bring anything new to the eBook reader market, but we’re hoping that the device will be offered at an attractive price point.  We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
