Nokia’s X5 phone wins FCC approval
Nokia announced its X5 handset last month, and today the device made an appearance on the FCC as the RM-627. The device features a 2.4” QVGA display, a 5MP digital camera, Bluetooth and WiFi.
According to test reports, the X5 supports GSM bands 850, 900, 1800 and 1900, as well as WCDMA bands I, II and VIII. Nokia plans to launch the X5 initially in China through China Mobile in the Q2 2010 timeframe. There’s no indication if the device will be released in other markets, however, quad-band GSM support means the X5 can find a home pretty much anywhere.
