With Summer just around the corner, ARKON is focusing on bringing a bit more life to pool parties.  The company’s SP3990 Floating Wireless Speaker System works with any media player that has a 3.5mm jack.  The system consists of a transmitter and floating speaker/receiver that work off of disposable batteries or an AC adapter.  Just plug in your media player to the transmitter, and your music plays on the floating speaker as long as its within 7 meters of the transmitter.

ARKON has a decent idea here, and although we’ve seen floating media products before the SP3990’s use of a universal 3.5mm jack is a big plus.  However, the 7 meter range is a bit disappointing, especially since we’d prefer not to place or iPod anywhere near the pool.
