EmFinders EmSeeQ200 – find lost people

image

It’s a huge deal with old people get lost.  Often, they can go for only so long without medicine, so finding them quickly becomes an enormous effort.

EmFinders’ EmSeeQ200 uses GPS to solve this problem.  The small device can be strapped on to a wrist or leg like a watch, and it lasts up to two weeks between charges.

The EmSeeQ200 works for people who are lost and can’t find their way home, and for people who are lost and don’t know it, such as Alzheimer’s patients.  If a user is lost, he can activate the device, which will notify EmFinders, who will then in turn provide 911 emergency services with the location of the EmSeeQ200 unit.  You can also call EmFinders if a loved one is lost, and they will ping the EmSeeQ200 unit and provide the location to 911.

Overall, it’s a pretty intelligent solution that makes good use of GPS and cellular technology.  At the very least it provides peace of mind, at most it could prevent something catastrophic.
