Although Nortel is big in the IP telephony space, I didn’t know that LG had any skin in the game. But, apparently LG and Nortel have teamed up to release the IP8830, an IP phone designed for the corporate crowd.

LG passed another phone through the FCC without giving us anything more than a label. LG lists the model of this device as: LG100C, TFLG100BC, NTLG100CB and NTLGS100CB.
According to the test report, this is a CDMA phone that appears to be headed to Sprint. That’s about all there is to see here.

The Nokia N86 has finally come to the US. The device passed through the FCC today, and there are reports that the device is available on Amazon and in Nokia stores right now.
The N86 sports an impressive 8 MP camera, along with a 2.6” OLED screen and WiFi. It supposedly runs Nokia’s Symbian-based S60 OS.
You can’t see much from the internal photos, below, but I believe you can see what appears to be Samsung SDRAM and Flash.

Samsung passed the SCH-R351 through the FCC today. This CDMA phone has a decent suite of features, including a camera, video camera and Bluetooth. There is no indication what OS the SCH-R351 runs, but judging from the user manual this device may be based on a proprietary Samsung OS. Also, it’s possible that Samsung submitted an incomplete manual to the FCC, so we’ll need to follow up on this later.
Samsung took a page from RIM’s book with the SCH-R351. The device resembles an older BlackBerry, although I’d suspect that RIM’s Pearl navigator is easier to use than what appears to be a D-pad on the SCH-R351.
The SCH-R351 is powered by a Samsung QSC6055 processor. And judging from the circuit board on this thing, the SCH-R351 will be more of an entry-level smartphone than a competitor to RIM, Apple or Palm.

We’ve all used a coaster pager while waiting for a seat at a restaurant. And since these devices are wireless, they need to get approved by the FCC just like everything else.
Not much new with the Inter Page coaster pager in this application. Really, what I’d like to see is a coaster pager that allows you to walk around in the entire mall, instead of having to wait within 20 feet of the restaurant’s door.

The ASUS MX-96 is a tiny wireless mouse that looks just slightly larger than a pack of gum (one of those jumbo packs, btw, not a 5 sticker). Although the form factor doesn’t seem to be very ergonomic, this is a great design for mobile users, particularly since the MX-96 has a compartment that stores its tiny USB dongle.
